Former Royal Challengers Bangalore wicket keeper-Patel Parthiv Patel has felt current RCB all-rounder Glenn Maxwell is at his best when allowed to play freely.
Speaking on Star Sports’ Game Plan show, former Indian cricketer Parthiv said that there are players who like to thrive in a certain atmosphere and Maxwell is one of them. Adding further, he praised RCB management for letting Maxwell be himself.

“I think there are certain players; they thrive in a certain atmosphere. I think sometimes you don’t put a lot of pressure on them; you just allow that player to be who he is, and sometimes it makes a big difference to the psyche of the player, ”Parthiv said on Star Sports’ Game Plan show.
“I think you’ll have to give RCB management a pat on the back here. Glenn Maxwell, we all know what he could do, but then allow him to be what he is and be that free. as possible. Then you will have to give credit to the RCB team leadership here for allowing him to play the way he wants. “
Australian all-rounder Maxwell believes playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) ahead of the T20 World Cup will give Australian batsmen enough time to get used to the conditions in the United Arab Emirates.
Australia were drawn to a tough group in the Super 12 stage alongside reigning champions West Indies, world number one England and South Africa.
“The fact that we have a lot of guys getting ready for the IPL, getting a few games under these conditions is going to do wonders for our hitters. Our bowlers will be ready and shooting by the time the tournament starts. make sure everyone can’t wait to get started out there, ”Maxwell told icc-cricket.com.
“The tournament in the United Arab Emirates probably levels the playing field a bit. It probably makes it a little easier that there isn’t that much advantage at home. For the IPL to be there to have it. a lot of international players who are potentially going to be in that World Cup out there playing, I think that probably leveled the playing field a bit, “he added.
